The Primary Beneficiary is the person or organization who received the benefit should the insured event occur.
Policies also have contingent beneficiaries so that, if the primary beneficiary is not available, unable, or refuses the benefit, the contingent beneficiary will be the next in line. Contingent beneficiaries are often numbered: Second, Third, etc. to mark their place in line.
The field is accessed clicking on the Relations Tab for the product being viewed on the View Policy With Relations or View Coverage With Relations.
