The total commission for a policy may be made up of several "components."  The components are represented by separate rates in the rate table.

For example, if the agency receives 75% of the Base Premium plus 5% of the Excess Premium and 30% override on the base premium, and a fixed amount of $2 per month, that total commission would have the following components:

1.Base Commission

2.Base Override Commission

3.Excess Premium Commission

4.Fixed Amount Commission

Taken together it is one commission, but Advisors Assistant tracks all 4 of the components for all commission levels (agency, producer, manager).
