Overview

Orion Advisor Services provides portfolio management services by performing the downloads and reporting for RIAs.

Advisors Assistant's integration with Orion provides downloading of Registrations, Securities, Accounts, and Account Positions from Orion so that you can use the Advisors Assistant CRM features to mine your data based on assets, accounts owned by your clients.  Orion handles the downloading from all the sources used by the Advisor and handles all transactions while the integration with Advisors Assistant provides the information necessary for effective client communications and relationship management.

Step One - Establish The Orion Relationship

Go to Http://www.OrionAdvisor.com to get a quote for services.

Step Two - Activate The Orion Module

You are given a activation code and expiration date of the Orion Module from our Sales Department.  To activate:

•Click on Admin | Activate Modules

•Scroll down to the Orion Module

•Highlight the module with a single click and click on Activate Selected Module Button

•Enter the Expiration Date and Code

•Click OK and then Click Exit.

Step Three - Set Up Advisors Assistant to access Orion

•Click on Admin | Maintain Orion Account

 

•Enter the Service Account Name supplied by Orion

•Enter the Password supplied by Orion

•Click on the Validate Button.  If the the authentication fails, you will get a message.  Try reentering the password or cut and paste it if you have it in writing.

•Click OK.

Note: Orion Security Screens always start out empty.  If you are going to edit existing data, you must have the information as it will not show up when you edit the screens.

Setup Advisors To Be Downloaded

•Click on Admin |Maintain Producers

•Choose The Producer by double clicking on the name or click once and click the Modify Button.

•Click on the Orion Tab

•Fill in the Advisor ID and Password provided by Orion.

•Click Verify.

•Click OK to exit the screen.

•Repeat the process to set up other advisors wishing to download into the same database.
