This message appears when your Pershing Download does not have an ACCT file and it has NEVER processed an ACCT file.

If this is your first Pershing download, you should have received the file to establish your accounts.

ACCT Files Do Not Come With Every Day's Transmission

The ACCT file is only sent with your first Pershing download and then when there is new account information.  Therefore, just because this message appears, it does not mean that you have not requested the ACCT file from Pershing.

If you continue to receive this message and you know you have new accounts, you should check with your Pershing representative to make sure you are set up to receive it.

The ACCT File

The ACCT file provides account information such as account registration, account type, etc.

Advisors Assistant can establish a new account without the ACCT file, but it will be necessary for you to add the account information yourself.

What To Do

Click the Process button and be sure to check your exception reports for accounts that are established through positions and transactions in the absence of an ACCT file.
