Validate Insurance Product Name

This screen appears automatically during the processing of Insurance downloads when new Insurance Plan data is contained in the download, or a new plan code for a plan that already exists is downloaded.

Validate Insurance Product Name Overview

When a new plan of coverage comes in the download, Advisors Assistant needs to be sure it is represented in your database.  These downloaded plans have their own set of codes, so we need to store the codes used by the insurance company in Advisors Assistant.

On the screen below, this code is known as the Product Code.

ValidateProductCodes

Either the Coverage Plan is already in Advisors Assistant, or it's not.  If it's there, it may be that the product code used by the insurance company has not been linked to it.  In this case, you just have to link it using the Match Button.

If it's not there, it will be necessary to add the plan.

How To Use This screen

You only have two choices on this screen.

1.If the plan being downloaded and listed in the top window is present in the bottom window, highlight both plans and click on the Match Downloaded Product Code Button.

2.If the plan being downloaded and listed in the top window is NOT present in the bottom window, click on the Add Coverage Plan Button.

Add Coverage Button

Click on this button when the coverage at the top is not listed in the window at the bottom showing Insurance Plans already present in Advisors Assistant.

Match Downloaded Product Code To Existing Coverage Plan Button

The plan may exist in the bottom window because the plan information was entered by hand and it just does not have the product code used by the download.

When this is the case, highlight the plan in the top window with one click and highlight the matching plan in the bottom window by clicking once on it.  Then click on the Match Downloaded Product Code Button.

If you have more than one company represented, sort the top and bottom windows by Company to help you find the plan.  If it's just one company, sort by Coverage Type or Class.
