From the Insurance Commissions Sidebar, click on the Rates Icon. Then choose the Rate Table you want to edit and click the Options Button at the bottom of the Rate Table. Choose the Posting Options Tab.
Posting Options Overview
Each commission component can be displayed on the Posting Screen separately or combined with other components during the commission posting session.
This is the screen where you tell Advisors Assistant how you want the commissions displayed on the posting screen.
Your decision should be based on how the commissions are displayed on the Company Transmittal List sent with the commission check. If the company breaks out overrides from basic commissions, you should have the posting options list them separately. If the company combines these elements, then the posting screen should combine them.
Note: It's best to review a company transmittal before making your selection.
When commissions are combined for posting, they are combined with the Base Commission. These are the commissions calculated from the rates in the Base Column (no color band.)
Excess 1
This is the basic commission paid on the Excess 1 level of modal premium. If your company breaks out these commissions on your company transmittal, then you will want to choose "Separately." If your company combines these commissions with the basic or target premium commissions, then you should choose "Combined."
Any commission calculated using the rates in the ORANGE colored band would be affected by this field.
Excess 2
This is the basic commission paid on the Excess 2 level of modal premium (usually applies to Canadian policies only.) If your company breaks out these commissions on your company transmittal, then you will want to choose "Separately." If your company combines these commissions with the basic or target premium commissions, then you should choose "Combined."
Any commission calculated using the rates in the BLUE colored band would be affected by this field.
Override 1
These are the Override Level 1 commissions regardless of whether they result from basic or excess premiums. If your company breaks out these commissions on your company transmittal, then you will want to choose "Separately." If your company combines these commissions with the basic or target premium commissions, then you should choose "Combined."
