From the View Client With Investment Accounts Screen, click on the Add Action Button OR from the View Account With Investments, click on the "+" button next to the Account Number. To Modify an Account, highlight the account on the View Client With Investment Accounts Screen, and click on the Modify Action Button. Then click on the Producers Tab.
Add/Modify Account-Producers Overview
The Producers Screen is designed to allow you to enter the name of the Rep or Advisor. These producers are slightly different from the Primary Producer associated with the Client's name record.
Producer Names & Downloads
The account's producer is important because it helps identify the account being downloaded. This field is maintained by downloads or it can be entered manually. It should not be left blank.
Producers
Click on the field to look up the name in the database. See How To Add A Producer below for adding new producers.
Managers
Managers are supervisors who may share in the production commissions. A manager's name must be on the producer list in order to enter it here.
Split 1st Year / Renewal (Subsequent Years)
Advisors Assistant does not track investment commissions at this time, but you can use these fields for reference.
How To Add A Producer
If you've designated a Primary Producer for the Investor's name record, that producer's name will show as Producer #1.
How To Add A Producer
Adding producers is controlled by Advisors Assistant Security Rights Management. You must have the proper database authorization in Advisors Assistant to add producers. You can add a producer to the account you're setting up just by clicking on the Browse Button (
) next to a blank producer or manager.
Producer Lookup Screen
To add a producer to the Producer Lookup List, follow these steps:
1.Click on the Browse Button (
) next to an empty producer or manager field.
2.From the Producer Lookup Screen, click on the Add Button.
3.From the list of names on the Assign Name As Producer Screen, highlight a name and click on the OK Button.

Use the Producer Display Name to position certain producers near the top of the list. Producers are displayed on the Producer Lookup Screen in alphabetical order using the Display Name. If you were to change "Johnson, Sam" to "1. Sam Johnson" his name would come first on the list. |
