Imaging Assistant is designed to work with Advisors Assistant.  The file structures have been designed so that if either the Advisors Assistant database or the Imaging Assistant database were not available, the files could still be associated with the contact's name by any reasonably competent programmer.

Of course, it is assumed that both databases would remain backed up at all times, but Imaging Assistant has been designed to withstand the loss of either one of the databases.

Advisors Assistant Database Information

Assuming that the Imaging Assistant database was totally destroyed, but the files were still available, the Advisors Assistant database stores the file name, file description, file category, and all the information about the client, such as name, address, etc.  Because each file name is absolutely unique, it can be found on the document server and re-associated with the contact's name.

Advisors Assistant Database Information

Assuming that the Advisors Assistant database were totally lost, the Imaging Assistant database contains all of the information to reassociate the file with the client.  This database stores the following information:

•The unique file name

•Whether the file was scanned or copied to the archive

•The File Description entered when the file was scanned or added to the archive

•The File Category entered when the file was scanned or added to the archive

•The Contact's full name

•The Contact's unique ID in Advisors Assistant

•The Contact's email address
