If you have the optional Investment Module, click on the black arrow next to the Name Lookup Icon from the Main Sidebar Menu and then click on By Account. It is also available from the Combine Investments Wizard. You can also click on Lookup | By Account on the menu at the top of the screen.
Account Lookup Overview
The Account Lookup Screen lets you search for an account even if you don't know the investor's name. When you first enter the screen, no accounts are listed. Start typing the account number. After you type a few numbers, or if you stop typing (even after just one number) Advisors Assistant will begin to retrieve a list of the accounts that match the number.
How To Use This Screen
1.Start typing an account number. After you type a few numbers, Advisors Assistant will automatically retrieve a list of account numbers which match the number you typed, starting with the left most number.
For example: If you type 123, the account number of 1238764 will match. The number 31239786 will not match even though it has "123" in the number.
2. Double click on your choice or continue typing the account number.
Also Search CNN
The CNN is the Company Control Number. Not all systems use the account number to track downloaded accounts. Normally, the CNN is the account number, but sometimes it's different.
This feature lets you also search the Company Control Number Field.
Also Search Previous CNN
Advisors Assistant also stores the previous Company Control Number. You can also search that field by checking the box.
View All Button
If you don't know the account number, but just the name, you could click on View All and all accounts in your database will display.
This can take a while if you are using the system over the Internet, as all of the account numbers and their investors will need to come to your station. If you don't know the account number at all, use another lookup method, such as the email address, to find the name.
