If you have a Virtual Private Network (VPN) set up, and you are connected to the network which is running Advisors Assistant and Imaging Assistant, you can scan from that location.

You must have a scanner connected to your computer at the remote location.

Speed Considerations

Sending documents to the document server and viewing documents on your remote computer will be somewhat slower and will depend on the speed of your Internet connection.

You won't notice this very much on smaller documents, but you may need to wait a few seconds to view or save documents with several pages.
