Overview

There are two ways to adjust cost basis.

1.You can edit an individual transaction's basis per share and freeze the tax lot for that transaction.  This will force that number of shares to a particular cost per share. This is done from the Modify Investment Activity Screen.

2.If you use the Initial Values Screen, you can enter the beginning cost basis on that screen.

3.You can enter a new Adjust Basis transaction which will adjust the basis as of the transaction date by adjusting the basis per share on all tax lots on or before that transaction date.  This is done from the Modify Investment Activity Screen.
