Viewing a document means bringing the document to your computer screen.
Exporting a document means that you can move it from the screen into a different file. This is referred to as Saving.
Emailing a document is a form of exporting and requires the same rights as exporting.
Printing, though moving the document to paper, is the same as exporting because the document can be re-scanned. This requires the same rights as Exporting (saving) a document.
Advisors Assistant can only control the rights for the Imaging Assistant Viewer. When a document created by a program other than Imaging Assistant is viewed by another Windows program, Imaging Assistant cannot apply any security because the other program is in full control.
For example: If you save a Word document as a .DOC, then anyone with rights to view documents could print, save, or email the document. However, if you printed it first and then scanned it with Imaging Assistant, Imaging Assistant rights would be in effect.
