2.The System Admin must have enabled the Google API's.  For more information on the Google API's click HERE.

3.The user must authorize G Suite under User Preferences | Google Sync Tab.

4.Click on the Google Sidebar Menu and Sync Google's Calendar.

What Happens With Google Sync & Workflows

When a workflow creates a task, it will be placed in the Advisors Assistant Calendar.  If the user who is assigned the task is set up for G Suite, the Advisors Assistant Calendar will use the User's Google Credentials and the Google Task API to send the task to Google's calendar.

When the task is completed and marked complete in either the Google or Advisors Assistant calendar, the task will be removed from both calendars, the workflow step will be marked complete and Advisors Assistant's Workflow Module will create the next task in the sequence and place it in the Advisors Assistant calendar for the user or department assigned the task.

If that user is a G Suite user in Advisors Assistant, the task will also be sent to the User's Google Calendar.

This automatically takes place inside of Advisors Assistant, with the exception of when a task is completed in Google.

Advisors Assistant has no way to know that a task is completed when you are in Google's Calendar.  Therefore, it doesn't appear in the Advisors Assistant Calendar until the Google Calendar Sync is run.  When that sync is run, Advisors Assistant users the Google Task API to find out what changed in Google's Tasks.
