The table above shows Producer Level participant rates that are being paid to the producer by the agency.
The dollar amount entered into the Rate Table is applied based on the number of participants entered into each policy.
Entering Participants in the Policy
Participants covered by the policy are entered in either of two places.
Enter Participants From The Details Tab
If you enter participants from the Details Tab, it will also show on the Commission Tab.
Enter Participants On Commissions Tab
You can also enter Participants on the Commissions Tab. You only have to enter the value in one place. The Participants are shown on the Commissions Tab because it can be required calculate commissions.
Direct Pay Check Box
Direct pay means that the Payee is paid directly by the insurance carrier or other company paying the commissions.
The Agency is always paid directly, but Producers and Managers could be paid either directly or by the Agency.
You can control Direct Pay options from either the rate table or it can be controlled on a policy by policy basis. This is controlled on the System Preference, Insurance Commissions Tab. If you have a single policy split among producers and need to have some producers get paid directly and others paid by the agency, you will need to reset this preference.
Direct Pay Deducts From Agency Gross
Check this box and the gross amount due to the agency will be reduced by the amount paid directly by the Company to the Producer.
For Example:
The agency would normally be due $1,000 based on the agency rate table. The Producer would get $500 based on their rate table, but the Producer is being paid directly by the company. Advisors Assistant will automatically deduct the Producer amount so that the Agency Due amount will show as $500.
